Shorts Template Cloner — copy the look of any short

Drop in a video or screenshot of a famous short. AI reads its caption look and motion, hook title, progress bar and layout into your own template — make it once and every short comes out that way.

How to clone a shorts template in 3 steps

  1. 01. Drop in the short you want to copy

Drag 1 video or up to 3 screenshots onto the Templates page. The video stays on your device — only the small frames needed to read it are sent.

  2. 02. AI reads the format and redraws it to match

It reads the layout, captions and title box, then redraws the captions itself to match font, size, outline and colors. From a video it also learns how many words show at a time and how they move.

  3. 03. Save it and every short gets the look

Tweak any detail and save — the template is applied to your shorts right away. Keep it as your default and new shorts get it automatically.

Matched by redrawing, not by guessing

Guessing a font from a screenshot usually lands on a lookalike. Shorts Zone redraws the reference captions in candidate fonts, compares them pixel by pixel and keeps the closest font, weight, size and outline. It's the same drawing that renders your shorts, so what matches is what you get.

From a video, it learns the motion too

A screenshot can't show how captions move. Drop in a video and it reads a 2-second burst of frames from the middle: how many words show at a time, whether they pop or fade in, and whether the highlight follows the spoken word.

No reference? Start from a built-in style

Fill, Fit, Screen share, Gameplay, plus Title top, Comment short and POV. Built-in styles change the framing and keep your captions, they're free on every plan, and you can customize one and save it as your own template.

Why Shorts Zone

  • Never cut mid-sentence

Every short starts and ends on a sentence boundary, so nothing stops halfway through a thought.

  • A virality score for every short

A 0–100 score, a first-3-seconds check and one honest note make it easy to pick what to post.

  • Your video stays on your device

Cutting, captions and rendering all run in your browser. Only transcript text is sent to the AI.

  • Paste a YouTube link

The Shorts Zone Link helper downloads it on your own computer. Drive and Dropbox links and files work too.

  • Korean, English, Japanese, Dutch, Italian and Traditional Chinese

Transcribe and caption in all six languages. From Pro, translate captions into any of the other five.

  • Follows whoever is talking

Going from 16:9 to 9:16 keeps the speaker centered, and splits the screen for two or three people.

  • Long videos welcome

Up to 30 minutes free, 60 on Lite, and no length limit from Pro.

  • Free to start

3 videos per account for free. Lite ($4.9/month) adds watermark-free 1080p.

Frequently asked questions

What can I upload?

One video of a short, or up to 3 screenshots as PNG, JPG or WebP. A video also teaches it how the captions move; screenshots give the look only.

Is the reference video uploaded?

No. The video stays on your device, and your browser sends only a few small frames for the AI to read.

Which plan do I need?

Making a template from a reference short starts on Pro. Picking a built-in camera style or building a template yourself with 'Build it myself' works on the Free plan too.

What does a template include?

Caption font, size, colors, outline and highlight style, how many words show at a time and how they move, the layout, the hook title box, the progress bar and the comment and channel badge. You can edit any of it afterwards.

Does it work with Korean captions?

Yes. If the reference captions contain Korean, it searches Korean fonts for the closest match; otherwise it searches Latin fonts.
