Know what to post first with a Virality Score

AI scores the shorts from the same video against each other and ranks them from #1 down. It flags a weak first 3 seconds on its own, and leaves what works plus one honest note under every score.

How to get a virality score in 3 steps

  1. 01. Add a video and every short gets a score

AI reviews each short, scores it 0–100 and lays them out from the highest down as #1, #2 and so on. Scores show on the free plan too.

  2. 02. Tap the first-3-seconds chip to see the weak spot

The chip next to the score tells you whether it opens on filler, starts with dead air or takes too long to get to the point. From Pro, fix it with AI in the editor.

  3. 03. Read the note and pick what to post

Read a sentence or two on what works and one line that starts with "Honestly," then download the shorts you like or polish them in the editor.

Scored against the rest of the video

Scores compare the shorts from the same video with each other. The best three always show at least 80 and the order never changes, so what to post first is obvious. Clips the AI rejects that fall far behind the best one are never made.

The first 3 seconds, measured on their own

A short is kept or swiped in its first 3 seconds. Shorts Zone checks whether it opens on filler, starts with dead air or takes too long to reach the point. When starting a line or two later is much stronger, it moves the start while making the short and never touches the ending.

Few words, big moment: it listens to the sound too

In a boxing match, a football game or a concert the commentary is a few words and the fun is the crowd erupting — something a transcript alone can't judge. Shorts Zone also reads how the loudness moves: quiet that builds and then bursts. It only counts sound that climbs well above the video's usual level — a roar, a shout, an impact — so a sentence that starts after a pause never counts as a burst. The less is said in a short, the more this sound flow weighs on its score.

What works, and one honest note

Under the score you get a sentence or two on what grabs viewers and one last line that starts with "Honestly," — the one thing most likely to hold it back, said kindly, or that it's ready to post as is. The note starts on Lite.

Why Shorts Zone

  • Never cut mid-sentence

Every short starts and ends on a sentence boundary, so nothing stops halfway through a thought.

  • A virality score for every short

A 0–100 score, a first-3-seconds check and one honest note make it easy to pick what to post.

  • Your video stays on your device

Cutting, captions and rendering all run in your browser. Only transcript text is sent to the AI.

  • Paste a YouTube link

The Shorts Zone Link helper downloads it on your own computer. Drive and Dropbox links and files work too.

  • Korean, English, Japanese, Dutch, Italian and Traditional Chinese

Transcribe and caption in all six languages. From Pro, translate captions into any of the other five.

  • Follows whoever is talking

Going from 16:9 to 9:16 keeps the speaker centered, and splits the screen for two or three people.

  • Long videos welcome

Up to 30 minutes free, 60 on Lite, and no length limit from Pro.

  • Free to start

3 videos per account for free. Lite ($4.9/month) adds watermark-free 1080p.

Frequently asked questions

How is the virality score worked out?

AI checks whether each short grabs attention in the first 3 seconds, makes sense without context, ends on a complete thought and is delivered with clarity and energy. It also reads whether the sound builds and then bursts. Then it scores the shorts from the same video against each other.

Does a high score guarantee views?

No. The score tells you which shorts from this video to post first. It doesn't promise views.

Why do most scores come out above 80?

Because the score is relative to the video. The best three are lifted to at least 80 and the order is never changed, so a weaker short still looks weaker.

What happens to low-scoring shorts?

Clips the AI rejects that score more than 15 points below the video's best are never made. You always keep at least the minimum number of shorts for the video's length.

Can I use it for free?

Yes. On the free plan every short shows its virality score, its first-3-seconds score and a label for the weak spot. The note under the score and why the first 3 seconds scored that way start on Lite, and fixing the first 3 seconds with AI in the editor starts on Pro.

Do fights, football or other videos with little talking get a score too?

Yes. When a short has little speech, the words say less about it, so the way the sound moves counts for more in its score. A build-up that bursts into a roar or an impact goes up; music or chatter at the same volume throughout doesn't. Lectures and interviews that are all talk barely change.

Is my video uploaded to read the sound?

No. Loudness is read in your browser. The AI only gets the transcript text of the candidate passages, and the video file never goes to a server.
