A Caption Translator that stays in sync with the speech
Switch the caption language in the editor and the short's captions are translated. Speech is split into short chunks, each one translated as a line and laid back over the moment it was said.
How to translate a short's captions in 3 steps
01. Pick a caption language
The Caption language card sits at the top of the Text tab in the editor's Captions panel. Choose Original, Korean, English, Japanese, Dutch or Italian and translation starts in the background.
02. Translated in time with the speech
The transcript is split into short chunks at pauses and sentence ends, each translated as one line, and its words are spread over the original words' timing. The original shows faintly under each line.
03. Show the original too
Turn on Show the original too and a smaller line with the original speech sits under the translated captions — handy for bilingual audiences.
Right when the words are said
Pairing words one to one across languages with different word order throws captions off the speech. Shorts Zone translates by speech chunk and spreads each translated line over that chunk's original word timing, by length. Captions turn over where a chunk ends, so lines from different moments never share the screen.
Original underneath, titles in the same language
Keep the original as a small line under the translation. Pick a caption language in the settings (⚙) when you make shorts and every short comes out translated, with titles and reviews written in that language.
Long-form edits too
The long-form editor's Captions tab has the same language card. Only the speech you kept in the edit is translated, and restoring a cut translates just the missing part.
Why Shorts Zone
Never cut mid-sentence
Every short starts and ends on a sentence boundary, so nothing stops halfway through a thought.
A virality score for every short
A 0–100 score, a first-3-seconds check and one honest note make it easy to pick what to post.
Your video stays on your device
Cutting, captions and rendering all run in your browser. Only transcript text is sent to the AI.
Paste a YouTube link
The Shorts Zone Link helper downloads it on your own computer. Drive and Dropbox links and files work too.
Korean, English, Japanese, Dutch, Italian and Traditional Chinese

Frequently asked questions
Which languages can I translate to?
Korean, English, Japanese, Dutch and Italian, in any direction. A video in one of them can get captions in any of the other four — Korean videos in English, Japanese, Dutch or Italian, Italian videos in Korean, English, Japanese or Dutch.
Which plans include it?
Pro, MAX and Ultra. Translation uses your plan's monthly tokens. On Free and Lite the language list shows a Pro badge.
Can I fix an awkward translation?
Yes. Click the line on the Text tab and edit it. The original stays as it was, and your edited translation is kept even if you switch languages and come back.
Do I need to translate again if I change the length?
No. Extend a short and only the newly added part is translated. If translation fails, the captions simply stay in the original language.
Is my video sent for translation?
No. Only the transcript text is sent to be translated — the video never leaves your device.
