How to polish a short in 3 steps

  1. 01. Cut the filler from the transcript

    The Trim panel shows the short's transcript sentence by sentence. Hover a sentence and hit the trash to cut it, or click a faded line before or after to extend up to it.

  2. 02. Pick a caption look

    Click a look in the Captions presets and it's applied right away. Drag the captions up or down on the preview to move them.

  3. 03. Add your logo and export

    Upload your brand logo in Elements and switch on the progress bar or a hook title. Export gives you an MP4 that looks exactly like the preview.

Cut video like you edit a doc

No hunting for frames. Remove a sentence that drags and that part is cut, with the join marked on the timeline. Click any word to jump there, or search the transcript to find a line.

Frequently asked questions

Is the editor free?

Yes. Anyone can open it with the pencil button on a short. Free exports are 720p with a watermark; from Lite you get watermark-free 1080p. The AI Agent panel is on Pro and up.

Where are my edits saved?

Every change goes straight into that short, so closing the editor keeps it. Exports use the same drawing as the preview, so the file looks exactly like what you saw.

Can I make a short longer?

Yes. The faded sentences in Trim are the transcript around the short. Click one to extend up to it — a short can run up to 3 minutes.

Can I undo a mistake?

Undo (⌘Z) steps back one change at a time, and the More menu can reset all edits to the short at once.

Are there keyboard shortcuts?

Space plays, ←/→ move one second, S splits at the playhead, Delete removes the selected part and ⌘Z undoes.
